WIN A PAIR OF TICKETS TO WAR OF THE ROSÉS: A SUPERMARKET WINE TASTING AT THE NORTHERN LAWN TENNIS CLUB, WEST DIDSBURY

Northern Soul has teamed up with Cracking Wine to offer two readers a pair of tickets to attend the first of a brand new series of supermarket wine tasting events at the Northern Lawn Tennis Club in West Didsbury.

Janet Harrison, the founder of Cracking Wine, has put together a series of supermarket wine tastings at the Northern Lawn Tennis Club, South West Manchester Cricket Club in Chorlton and the Town Bar in Heaton Moor.

The sessions, which last around two hours, are fun and informal and you will learn the basics of how to taste wine, alongside supermarket wine buying tips.

Cracking Wine offers a friendly approach to tastings – making wine accessible to all and de-bunking a few myths along the way. There don’t seem to be any wine tasting events which focus on supermarket selections, yet they are the places where most people buy their wine.

War of the Rosés will involve tasting a range of six wines (from discounters such as Aldi through to premium supermarket brands) to pitch against each other and see who wins the battle. Designed specifically for summer drinking, Rosé has many different styles, grape varieties and colours and can make a great food match for lots of seasonal dishes as well as Asian cuisine.

To be in with a chance of winning a pair of tickets to the War of the Rosés at the Northern Lawn Tennis Club in West Didsbury on Wednesday July 1, 2015 at 7pm simply sign up to the Northern Soul newsletter (details of how to do this are on the right hand side of the page) and send an email to stephaniealderson@northernsoul.me.uk with the title ‘Wine Tasting’.
