In The Northern Soul Podcast Hotseat: Everything Everything
This week’s Northern Soul Podcast is a biggie as we chat to festival favourites and all-round brilliant band Everything Everything.
Formed in 2007 by Salford University and school friends Jonathan Higgs, Jeremy Pritchard, Michael Spearman and Alex Niven (Niven was later replaced by Alex Robertshaw), Manchester-based Everything Everything have since gone on to scoop a number of award nominations, including one from the Mercury Music Prize. Their eclectic sound has been described as everything from progressive to art-funk, with influences encompassing Michael Jackson, The Beatles and Radiohead.
This week they divulge their back-stage stories to Northern Soul‘s Lucy McNamara, including slebs in towels, drunken shenanigans and scotch egg naughtiness.
