A major new exhibition is touring to three museums, telling the story of Arthurian legend, Pre-Raphaelite artists and UK locations linked to King Arthur – and providing an opportunity to see the Lady of Shalott series of paintings by John William Waterhouse, together for the first time.

Each gallery will exhibit work by artists including William Holman Hunt, John Everett Millais, Dante Gabriel Rossetti, Edward Burne-Jones and Waterhouse, among others. The exhibition will also feature the work of Pre-Raphaelite women artists including Eleanor Fortescue-Brickdale, Emma Sandys, and Elizabeth Siddal.

The exhibition has debuted at William Morris Gallery in London and is there until January 22, 2023 before moving to Tullie House in Carlisle from February 4, 2023 to June 3, 2023. The final stage of the exhibition will be in Cornwall at Falmouth Art Gallery from June 17, 2023 until September 30, 2023.
