This is what Northern Soul‘s Beth Smith has to say: “My interest in political graffiti grew out of a righteous anger at the state of the world and the need to know I wasn’t the only one absolutely exasperated by everything. I remember walking past a sticker haphazardly stuck onto a street sign: ‘Stop catcalling. Not cool. Not for you.’. In that moment, I felt a sense of unity wash over me. I started looking out for them and, before I knew it, I had a collection of photos on my phone.”
