The New Year Northern Soul Podcast
So, Christmas Day has been and gone. We’re all a few pounds heavier and yet still scraping the bottom of the Quality Street tin. So, here’s something to take your mind off your festive chocolate consumption – it’s the Northern Soul podcast.
This week Lucy chats to Findlay. Raised in Stockport, Natalie Findlay is a young pop-rock singer who, earlier this year, was handpicked to play at the Serpentine pavilion by the party’s organiser, fashion designer (and partner of Mick Jagger) L’Wren Scott. Now with three buzzed-about EPs to her name and a CV that includes supporting acts such as Jake Bugg and The Courteeners, Findlay is one to watch in 2014. And she has a cat called Iggy.
Also on Lucy’s playlist this week are a selection of the Northern Soul team’s top picks of 2013. Click below to hear, among others, Tune-Yards, First Aid Kit, Naytronix, The Be Good Tanyas, Orange Juice, The Drums, Father John Misty, and Edwyn Collins.
Happy New Year!
