As The Whitaker Museum and Art Gallery in Rossendale approaches its first birthday since reopening, it continues to share the best emerging and established contemporary artists in its visual arts programme.

Now on is Martin Grimes’ Fault Lines and Paula Chambers’ Working Girls

Fault Lines features drawing and watercolour landscapes but everything began with the artist walking, whether through the city of Manchester or the rural landscape of Calderdale. In Working Girls, Chambers presents sculptural works, installation and film, some of which have been made in response to the history of women mill workers in the region.
