The Northern Soul Podcast: The Slow Show
Hurrah and huzzah! It’s time for The Northern Soul Podcast.
This month Lucy McNamara trips down to the Horse & Jockey in Chorlton to chat to Rob Goodwin from The Slow Show. Known for their minimal but epic songs which swell from gentle piano-led Americana to roaring choruses and string sections, this Manchester five-piece have found champions at BBC 6 Music and Radio 2 and have played in Europe to large, sold-out audiences, as well as supporting Elbow.
Also on this month’s podcast, Lucy previews must-see gigs across the North of England and plays great music including Patti Smith, Ghostpoet, Milk and Bone, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Bop English, GoGo Penguin and U.S. Girls.
You can get in touch with Lucy via Twitter @Lucy_McNamara or via Northern Soul @Northern_Soul_
