Capture a feathered friend on camera: Wilko’s Wild Bird Photography Competition 2020

Do you know your Blue Tit from your Brambling? Then this might be the opportunity for you. One of the UK’s home and garden retailers, wilko, is inviting you to share your best wild bird photos in its annual competition to capture the best of our feathered friends. All you need is a camera, an eye for detail and a flying visit from your favourite wild birds to be in with a chance of winning. So, if you’re a keen photographer, wilko invites you to share your best wild bird pictures for the chance to see your snaps in its 2021 Wild Bird Calendar and win one of 12 wilko gift cards worth £100.

The wilko wild bird competition runs until March 29, 2020. All photographs should be taken in a garden or outdoor setting and must have been taken by you. Email your entries to WildBirdCompetition@wearebrazenpr.com

Helen Nugent is the Founder and Editor of Northern Soul. A Northern lass, born and bred in Manchester, Helen has been back in her home town for 13 years after working in London for The Times and a number of other national newspapers. An experienced chairperson and speaker, she regularly chairs conferences and events for, among others, literature festivals, award ceremonies, and tech shows. She was also a Guest Lecturer at Westminster University in the Department of Journalism & Mass Communication, and a Guest Lecturer at City University and at MMU. She taught Music Journalism at Salford University for a number of years, and taught Political Reporting at Huddersfield University. In 2017, she was shortlisted for Person with Purpose at the Northern Power Women Awards. In 2019, she was a judge for the HWA Gold Crown Awards which recognise the best historical novels.
