It’s May which means only one thing: The Northern Soul Podcast.

Presenter and Producer Lucy McNamara is back with another euphonious episode which sees her chatting to ex-Kaiser Chief, Nick J.D. Hodgson. He was one of the founding members and lead songwriters of the Chiefs but split in 2012 to write songs for the likes of Mark Ronson, Hurts and even Shirley Bassey. This year, he released a solo LP, Tell Your Friends, and embarked on a solo tour. In addition, Lucy’s brilliant playlist consists of, among others, Ten Tonnes, Rat Boy, Rae Morris and tUnE-yArDs.

The Northern Soul podcast is a PRS-licensed podcast which showcases new music as well as playing well-known and well-loved tracks. It features bands from the North of England as well as those visiting this part of the world. If you would like your music to be considered for the Northern Soul Podcast, please contact Lucy McNamara on twitter @Lucy_McNamara or on Instagram @radiolucymac.
