Win! £30 Printworks voucher for the Manchester Soul Festival
Win! £30 Printworks voucher for the Manchester Soul Festival.
Following three successful years raising over £65,000 for The Christie, The Manchester Soul Festival is back at The Printworks once again.
Bringing together the UK’s leading soul DJs, bands and artists, the event this year has a record-breaking target of £35,000 to take the total raised to £100,000 and is set to be bigger and better than ever.
Taking place this Sunday (26th August), The Manchester Soul Festival will bring all the fun and nostalgia of Northern Soul and Motown alive, while raising money for a charity close to many people’s hearts.
Northern Soul has teamed up with The Printworks to offer one lucky winner a £30 Printworks voucher that can be used for food and drink at any Printworks venue this Sunday and beyond.
Acts will be performing across a range of venues within The Printworks including Lazy Lizard, Bierkeller, Hard Rock Cafe, Yates and Walkabout, as well as in its very own pump yard.
The main stage acts will once again be lucky enough to be performing on the ‘Frank Byrne’ stage, in memory of the man who made it all possible. The Manchester Soul Festival was the brainchild of Frank, who wanted to thank The Christie for taking care of him as he battled with cancer, and he worked tirelessly to make it a success until he passed away in 2015.
Confirmed acts include Stax of Soul, The Casino Allstars and Blank Cheque.
Fred Booth, centre director of The Printworks, said: “Every year we pride ourselves on raising as much money as possible for The Christie, and this year is no different as we are aiming to hit the £100,000 mark! Not only that, but it always promises to be a fantastic family day out, with some talented acts lined up and some great offers from tenants. We can’t wait to welcome everyone in on bank holiday Sunday for what promises to be another excellent day.”
Wristbands (as this is a charity event, wristbands will have to be bought) are £5 and all proceeds go to The Christie. Bands can be purchased on the door or in advance here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/manchestersoulfestival2018
