Win tickets to The Gin Society Festival at Manchester Cathedral
This September, The Gin Society presents Manchester’s newest gin festival, offering the chance to meet friends and fellow gin lovers in the beautiful surroundings of one of Manchester’s most iconic buildings. Northern Soul is proud to be the media sponsor for this fab new event.
At the festival you can enjoy a selection of the world’s finest gins and perhaps learn a few facts you didn’t know about this legendary libation. With up to 100 different gins on offer, gin lovers can sample their favourite tipples and discover some new exciting tastes from around the region, the UK and beyond.
The Gin Society is delighted to welcome distillers from Manchester who will be joining us throughout the festival – Manchester Gin, Zymurgorium. The Original Manchester Gin and Faith & Sons Gin will be on hand to offer samples of their gin and advice on the best flavour combinations.
To make the festival go with a swing, there’s a variety of entertainment, including vintage tunes from A Train Swing, (Friday evening), who will also be showing off their dancing skills and passing on a few tips. On Saturday night you can enjoy sultry sounds by bossa nova virtuoso Romeo Velluto and his band.
Throughout the day and evening, distillers will be sharing their skills in a series of Gin Masterclasses.
And for those who feel a bit peckish, Toast – T will be on hand, serving delicious cheese, charcuterie boards and toasted sandwiches to accompany the tasting.
To be in with a chance of winning a pair of tickets to either Friday evening, Saturday afternoon or Saturday night (September 2, 6.30 pm – 11.00 pm, September 3, 1.00 pm – 4.00 pm, September 3, 6.30 pm – 11.00 pm) plus four £5 vouchers so you can try two gins each, simply sign up to the Northern Soul newsletter (details of how to do this are on the right hand side of the page) and send an email to helennugent@northernsoul.me.uk with the title ‘Gin’.
