Win tickets to Girl Gang Manchester’s immersive screening of Bridesmaids
After the sell-out success of their first event, Girl Gang are back with an immersive screening of the hit female comedy Bridesmaids.
Described as ‘somewhere between the suffragettes and the Sugababes’, the gang’s signature silliness and celebration are rooted in everyday activism and personal politics for women of all ages. Girl Gang Manchester #2: Bridesmaids celebrates, analyses and sends up female friendships, competitiveness and wedding culture. Don’t miss the wedding of the year! The event boasts a fully decorated venue with immersive elements, motivational and creative workshops and many more surprises to be revealed on the night.
The event rebels against wedding culture and clichés with the opportunity to write your own self-love vows, and an academic film introduction about women and comedy, competitiveness in women and the expectation to have your life together by a certain point. With chocolate fountains, party bags, pop-up performances and prosecco, Bridesmaids promises to be the wedding of the year.
Girl Gang Manchester is a collective of female artists, creatives, thinkers and doers who run immersive screenings, workshops, parties, skill sharing sessions and socials, to create a community of people of all genders in Manchester promoting creativity, collaboration, confidence and positivity, that helps inspire and support women to succeed in life, work and society.
