Win a bottle of Glen Moray Classic Port Cask Finish Whisky – the perfect way to celebrate Burns Night.
The Glen Moray Classic Port Cask Finish is a single malt, matured in the finest American Oak barrels and finished for eight months in Port pipes sourced from Gran Cruz in the Douro Valley in Portugal.
The resulting whisky combines the best of the Glen Moray Classic Single Malt with the spicy, plum, wine-like elements from the port pipes.
Master Distiller, Graham Coull, says: “The rich wine flavours have combined with the vanilla oak notes to produce a whisky which is well balanced and full of character, with a lingering finish of honey sweetness combined with spices and subtle hints of dark chocolate and leather.”

The Glen Moray Distillery has been producing fine Single Malt Scotch Whisky from Elgin, the capital of Speyside, Scotland’s most famous whisky region, since 1897.Glen Moray Classic is crafted using a high percentage of first fill ex-bourbon barrels and Graham selects casks of varying ages to ensure the quality and consistency of the whisky.
Neil Ridley and Joel Harrison from World’s Best Spirits have created the following delicious cocktail which might be fun to make on Burns Night.
The Glen Moray Old Fashioned Port Cask Finish Cocktail
In a mixing glass, add 15ml Earl Grey syrup (mixture of 2:1 brown sugar – strong Earl Grey tea brewed and chilled down, re-heated together in a pan until sugar has dissolved), 3 dashes of Orange Bitters and a small amount of 50ml of Glen Moray Classic Port Cask Finish Whisky, stir together. Add several large cubes of ice and pour over the remainder of the whisky. Keep stirring for a minute until the drink has diluted. Garnish with a thin piece of expressed lemon zest.
